Today was spent upgrading machines to openSuSE 11.4 Was going to try to get to 12.1, but thought I should hit the last of the 11 line prior, and it wasn't as easy as I hoped.
My VMware instructor has learned (through his wife, from his veterinarian) that Tempur-pedic makes dog beds.
This morning, in the hotel dining room, I saw four of the six teams for Escape Routes eating breakfast. Several of them had binders of study materials with them. There were several producer-types there too.
I've never been to a Whole Foods Market before. Well that was different.
Co-worker today said that last week's Big Bang Theory had a segment where they played Settlers of Catan. As it progressed, his wife asked do we play it during Game Night At Steve's? Sometimes. Are our games like this one? Not going to lie to you dear.... Ah - I wouldn't have minded seeing that episode.
Los Angeles is pretty at night from an upper story of a hotel. It rained this morning, so the air is pretty clear. :-)

One of my friends from high school (also a co-worker) does metal detecting as a hobby. This weekend he found a coin from the late 1800's for a free drink of Rosedale O.K. Whiskey at a local saloon. Though the company as a whole was destroyed in the San Francisco earthquake of 1906....
"I don't do it on command!" Which is my standard reply when someone says to me "crap."

Qemu-kvm 0.15 was a regression

I made the mistake of upgrading my machine at work, and it took qemu-kvm from version 0.12 to version 0.15. Big mistake. The previous version had this really nice behavior that the mouse in the guest tracked the mouse in the host.... more
